On the occasion of International Children’s Day, June 1st, 2026, the People’s Court of Da Nang City organized a visit, exchange, and gift-giving event for victims of Agent Orange being cared for and nurtured at the Da Nang City Center for the Protection of Agent Orange Victims and Disadvantaged Children (the Center).
Attending the program were Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong, City Party Committee member and Chief Justice of the People’s Court of Da Nang City; Mr. Nguyen Anh Dung, Deputy Chief Justice and Judge of the Supreme People’s Court in Da Nang; and other judicial officials from the city. Representing the Da Nang City Association of Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims were Mr. Nguyen Van An, Chairman of the Association and Director of the Center, and Ms. Tra Thanh Lanh, Vice Chairman of the City Association.
During the visit and gift-giving event, Mr. Nguyen Chi Cong kindly inquired about the health and living conditions of the Agent Orange victims with difficult circumstances being cared for at the Center. He also expressed his deep sympathy for the losses and hardships the victims are enduring. He acknowledged and appreciated the dedication and responsibility of the Center’s staff in caring for, nurturing, and supporting Agent Orange victims. Comrade Nguyen Chi Cong wished the children good health, happiness, and encouraged them to strive in their studies and work, overcoming difficulties to rise above their circumstances.
On this occasion, Comrade Nguyen Van Quang, Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Chief Justice of the Supreme People’s Court, presented meaningful gifts to the Agent Orange victims at the Center. These gifts demonstrate the concern, sharing, and deep affection of Comrade Nguyen Van Quang and the staff of the Court system towards Agent Orange victims; thereby contributing to encouraging their spirits and giving them strength to overcome difficulties and rise above their circumstances.
On the same day, Ms. Tran Thi Man, Vice Chairwoman of the Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City… Da Nang city leaders, along with the city’s Department of Health, also visited, congratulated, and presented gifts to victims of Agent Orange at Facility 3 of the Center.
