The Quang Ngai Provincial Association, in coordination with the Nghia Thang Center for the Care and Rehabilitation of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, organized the acceptance and handover of outdoor playground equipment and tents for the Center.
These items are part of the project “Healthcare for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin and Children with Disabilities” in Tu Nghia district, funded by the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) for the Quang Ngai Provincial Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin in 2019, implemented from October 2019 to March 2020.
The outdoor playground equipment installed at the Center is made from environmentally friendly materials such as iron, bamboo, and recycled tires, including: wooden sandboxes, metal monkey bars, balance beams and walking tires, rotating volleyball posts, triangular climbing ladders, high and low stilt houses, rope swings, balance beams, swing chairs, slides, triangular pedal-powered merry-go-rounds, and tire rocking chairs. The total cost of implementation was 107,330,000 VND.
The canopy at the Center measures 100m2, designed with a steel frame and canvas covering, costing 61,100,000 VND. The introduction of outdoor playground equipment and the canopy at Nghia Thang Center meets the needs and aspirations of staff, especially the victims of Agent Orange undergoing rehabilitation at the Center, providing them with a better place for recreation and functional recovery.
