With the permission of the People’s Committee of Da Nang City, the Da Nang Sauna – Detoxification and Rehabilitation Center was established in December 2013 under the Association of Victims of Agent Orange in Da Nang City. The center is located at group 69 Nguyen Van Hue Street, Thanh Khe Tay Ward, Thanh Khe District, Da Nang, including 2 floors, usable area of 300m2, including 2 men’s and women’s sauna rooms, medical examination room, testing room, vitamin room, program administration room, records management room, and accommodation room. The center was built with a total cost of 108,628 USD sponsored by the Harris Freeman Foundation, inaugurated and put into operation on February 20, 2014. The center is organized and managed by the Da Nang City Association of Victims of Agent Orange Dioxin, with its own regulations and legal seal. Since its establishment, the Center has organized many propaganda activities on mass media: VTV1, VTV4, VTV Da Nang, DRT, Da Nang Newspaper, City Police Newspaper… and many other electronic newspapers. Especially in recent times, the Center has welcomed many provinces/city groups to visit and learn from personal experiences in sauna and detoxification such as groups: Bac Giang, Gia Lai, An Giang, Dong Nai, Lang Son, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri… To date, the Center has organized 3 steam baths for 33 Agent Orange victims and people affected by Agent Orange in need, including 2 steam baths for 22 Agent Orange victims within a 21-day steam bath, and a cooling steam bath for 11 Agent Orange victims at the Center. The results of the health situation of the victims were very good, improving the health of the victims. Many victims showed signs of truly recovering from diseases such as: white skin, less joint pain, weight loss, reduced blood pressure, reduced blood fat, good eating, more sleep and many skin diseases (list attached). The team of medical staff, doctors, and program administrators work very enthusiastically, carefully, thoughtfully, gently, happily with victims, and dedicated to their work. The results achieved from the treatments are very positive.
